About Mushu

Mushu Aguilera is a digital artist with 12 years of experience in the world of art. Originally inspired by artists such as Murakami, Virgil Abloh, jacuuzi, and Tremaine Emory, Mushu has developed a unique and highly sought-after artistic style . After garnering a large social media following, some of Mushu's notable achievements in 2022 include being the main guest at the FTX Art Basel Showcase and having his artwork worn by JHope of BTS and tattooed on Yeat. In the first half of 2024, Mushu will be hosting domestic and international exhibitions and plans to take a step into creative direction for music artists and brands that align with his vision,  further solidifying his place as a rising star in the art world.

Mushu's belief is that the meaning of the symbol of the devil in his iconography should be left open to interpretation by the viewer. He sees the "demons” in his artwork as neither gendered nor labeled, and encourages people to see them in their own way. Mushu’s work is meant to explore the darker side of life, from the perspective of being a black man in America and the choices that people make in order to survive. He believes that everyone experiences the same emotions and desires, regardless of their circumstances or labels, and that understanding this can bring people together.
